I remember 10+ years ago, probably closer to 15, a local FM station boasting about their HD signal. At the time I had no idea what that was, I thought it was some tongue in cheek joke about radio being like HDTV. It wasn't until later I had a rental car that supported HD and found out it was a real thing. So yeah, it's pretty much a failed format. I can't recall the last time I explored the HD sub-channels on my MR88, however I still have the radio set to HD blend mode so when I do get an HD channel it mixes it w/the pure analog signal. It sounds pretty darn good to me. But I wouldn't shed a tear if it got shut off tomorrow and I was back to standard analog.
