I prefer the hs_2 driver with my k03. I really need to do some experimenting with different sources and drivers through my k03 to see if I'm fooling myself by thinking the k03 clock is better than some other sources I could plug into it.

Marc.......Thank you. The Esoteric asynchronous HS_2 setting for the USB input requires the proprietary Windows or Mac driver supplied by Esoteric. This driver is not compatible with the Aurender N10 operating system. I had no issues with the HS_1 setting and it sounded remarkably clean.

EDIT Dec.08,2016 Thanks to Travis (tjarmstrong), who contacted Aurender about the Esoteric HS_2 asynchronous comment I posted in my original review, I retested the HS_2 input to the Esoteric K-03 with the Aurender N10 and had success. It took about four seconds to achieve the asynchronous connection and play music. This long delay is why I thought the HS_2 setting on the Esoteric would not work. The fact is the asynchronous input on the Esoteric K-03 is compatible with the Aurender N10. I have edited my review to reflect this information.
