I (think) I understand what Jim is saying, it all boils down to personal preference, many audiophiles would choose the 100% accuracy metric while others would prefer a component or element to their system that enhances their listening "pleasure" even if it may not be 100% true to the source. Nothing wrong with either approach IMO.
