I tried Roon. It wasn't something I wanted to invest in at this time. I am currently pretty happy with J. River (probably because I have been using it forever).
Maybe in the future when I have time to tinker with my setup more I will take another serious look at Roon. It was a nice front end, but for me it seemed lacking in sorting options for the music library. I may not have given it enough of a test though.
Part of it may be the size of my library (around 4TB lossless and some DSD).
