Yes, I have started to sort that out. The valuable items will be handled by a long term dealer I have dealt with. Some commonplace stuff will be EBay Ed by trustees and some items will be left to friends.
My European equivalent of Tenshodo brass will be MicroMetakit and MicroFeinmechanik who produce museum quality brass locos of mostly German prototypes. I have maybe 30 of their locos as well as a smattering of US models by Westside and other brass producers.
I think your trading your locos for high end stereo must have been tough. I’m not sure how I would handle that. I found it easier to sell some antiques and paintings to fund the hifi! These hobbies can be expensive
