I purchased 2 quads of EH KT88, one lot cyro'd, one lot original.
No sound difference that I could detect- however- 3 of the 4 originals failed within 2 years (2 went 'bang')- all 4 cryo'd lasted 5 years before falling out of spec & were replaced- none having gone 'bang'.
I know that statistically, the sample group was too small, but 3 fails out of 4, compared to zero out of 4 convinced me that cryo tubes last longer.
