The man deserve all our respect, at least mine.

I started out auditioning the Bose 901 II with the then Bose Pre/Power amplifier. What a soundstage it projected. Of course, they were then priced out of my league but I had a dream. I made a promise that I will own them some day and I did own 2 pairs of them, one the 901 S3 (with the matching Spatial Control Receiver - so cool, touch the BOSE logo to on/off) and later to a pair of limited editions Bose 901 Concerto's with built in power amp at the pedestal.

For all the bashings about his product, the way he made his money, no doubt he remained a gentleman, more so from what I know, he supported the local dealer here even when they were on bankruptcy. Today, they rebuilt their business and thanks to him. I knew cause I was very close with the son who is running the business today. I dont think there are many who will do that for an overseas dealer/distributor. He is a good man!

While I had moved on to other marques, I still own a pair of nose-cancelling headphones as well as the Bose Wave system for my wife, now passed to my daughter listening pleasure.

RIP Dr Bose.
