I have read everywhere that the Super 8's or the newer 88's are for bedrooms or small livings but they couple very well with our rather large room with a very high ceiling. The bass is not the deepest around. But I'm not into huge bass anyway. They give a clean and tight bass. Very musical and neutral speaker. Can listen to those all day long at high levels with no problem at all....
