Hi James,

Please find translation summary of BP26 review in Bryston BP-26 + MPS-2 – HiFi Knights by Marek Dyba.

The BP-26 by Bryston is a preamplifier, showing how one can combine sound neutrality with natural tone, how to show, due to unique sound clarity and transparency, the vast amount of details and yet subtlety, simultaneously not being aggressive, not dissecting the presentation, but allowing the listener to enjoy the experience.

The tested preamp plays smoothly, consistently and dynamically, being extremely faithfull to recordings. This has obvious advantages - the higher quality of the recording the better it sounds on BP-26 "justifying" our (music lovers) constant search for better editions.

The disadvantage is that it won't allow us to enjoy the recordings that are of poorer quality, but we used to appreciate them for the merit. The shortcomings of those recordings are not emphasised, but also cannot stay hidden, and this frequently takes away the pleasure of listening. Well - we should just get rid of those and not waste time, but focus on the recordings that really offer fun.

This is what Bryston BP-26, in good hardware company and quality software (music), will provide in excess.

Best regards
