Looks like a step backwards to me. What made the XRT 30/28 and Xr290 was especially with the 290 was everything was a line array down to the upper woofer frequencies. . And what's with the extra wide dispersion that makes the speaker more of a point source compromised crossover with a line array. You want the clarity compromised by delayed signals bouncing of side walls. Concentrate the sound at the listing area is the idea of a line array reducing compromising reflections. Thats not the case here for sure. If you are sitting 60 degrees off the opposite speaker the difference in listening distance between the speakers isn't going to allow for good staging anyway. They may be able to control dispersion but they can't make up for very differing arrival times. And yes small woofers handle the same power has big ones but they have to travel many times the distance creating FM distortion. Lets see 4 6.5's are equal to two 12's. Might as well have an XRT22. At least the tweeters aren't blocking the woofers and low mids.
