I was in your shoes a few years ago. I had owned the MA6500 for a long time, sold it, then 2 years ago decided I wanted it again but couldn't find the right one. (outside AC)
I ended up with Yamaha AS1100 and couldn't be happier, but if the 6500 ever pops up here locally I'd probably purchase.
Guess my point is to keep options open and be patient. GL.
