Anyone have a personal or favorite Mondegreen? If you’re not familiar with the term, a Mondegreen is a misheard lyric - this from Wikipedia:
“American writer Sylvia Wright coined the term in 1954, writing about how as a girl she had misheard the lyric "...and laid him on the green" in a Scottish ballad as "...and Lady Mondegreen".”

Most famous for rock fans are Hendrix “‘scuse me, while I kiss this guy” and Creedence “there’s a bathroom on the right.” My personal Mondegreen for some time was from the Allman Brothers song “Desert Blues” about a soldier in the first Gulf War. The line is “George called and said I had to go,” but for the longest time I heard “George Carlin said I had to go” and I wondered why Carlin was encouraging people to enlist.
