Default 'Splain This To Me

I have many fantastic sounding LPs that were sourced from hi res digital, both native digital recordings and native analog recordings.

If sounds good, it is good IMO. I don’t care about provenance when my ears are happy.

Of course, if it’s a native analog recording, like the Coltrane you referenced, I agree keeping it all analog is optimum but it’s not always practical .... but by all means give us, the consumer, the choice to purchase on vinyl even if digitally sourced.

It’s a buyer beware world, we can’t assume any newly pressed LP has analog mastering just like we can’t assume any analog mastered album will have great mastering choices or a mechanically perfect pressing!!
