Thank you for this. After looking around, I was considering buying a new Rega RP-3 with its built in cartridge. I would love to find a used RP-6 for the same price.
Some general questions (pardon my ignorance):
1. MM vs. MC - does it matter?
2. Is MM/MC function of the cartridge only, or the entire turntable?
3. Can any cartridge fit any turntable?
4. Do cartridges have a lifespan? Do they need to be replaced every X years?
