Grab a pair, you won't be disappointed. The HD800 was pretty impressive right out of the box, the more I listen the better it gets!!
Both CD and vinyl are amazing through these cans. This afternoon I listened to a few classical Living Stereo albums with good depth & soundstage and the HD800 performed flawlessly recreating the recorded space believably. Then by contrast I put on a Laurie Anderson CD (Bright Red) where the spatial effects were incredibly reproduced. These phones are definitely keepers. Mike
