I’ve been told that in a conversation with the design engineers at Mark Levinson, the design team claimed to my dealer that they feel the 519, 523/526, 536 and it’s variants are the best sounding products Mark Levinson has ever produced. The 52 was inclusive in that proclamation, meaning they feel the new preamp sounds best. They were responding to his inquiry on my behalf as it was my intention to purchase whichever their candid recommendations were. But I’ve never heard the No. 52 or 326, so what do I know?

That’s all subjective, I realize. However, their opinion should carry weight and is one of two reasons I was willing to purchase these sound unheard. Price being the other.
