It took me over 6 months to convince my electric company that there is a power transformer on the pole across the street from my house and that it could support a 200 amp service for me. I had to take pictures and present them at a meeting and instead of apologizing, they said "we will look into it". It took 3 more months before I got the go ahead from them to have the work done. I needed their approval because the drop line needed to be upgraded to handle the extra wattage. This guy is doomed if his electric company is similar to mine.
