David.......I never let my stylus sit on the Zerodust more than a second. When the stylus touches the jell pad I say "one thousand one" and lift it immediately. If I need to, I will do it twice, but never for more than one second each time. Other's may use longer intervals but this routine has worked perfectly for me.
