My former industry had issues like that as well in Canada. Industry Association meetings used to be much more frequent in the 70’s -90’s but have slowed significantly based on the potential issues they could create.
For the most part, any of our people could only meet formally with a competitor with lawyers on both sides and a very specific agenda.
