For those of us in the US here is how the costs for a car added up in Singapore.
Overall cost of the car
Registration fee + Cost Price + Road Tax + COE + additional registration fee (140% of OMV) and customs duty (31% of OMV).
So take a $50 BMW in the US and add 140% OMV and 31% Custom Duty plus at least $35K COE and you will easily be over $200k.
