That's odd. The firmware update acts like a download from web to the N-05 (not unlike a running a web browser to browse a page or download a file) - what sort of firewall rule would prevent that, other than blocking internet access entirely for N-05?
Internet access is required for firmware update, Tidal and Qobuz.
