My trip to Audio Classics yesterday landed me a beautiful McIntosh C35 PreAmp that has allowed me to largely complete a mid '80's vintage system. It also includes a set of Infinity RS IIa speakers that I am the second owner of (my good friend first bought them from Woodbridge Audio in 1983). They are powered by a pair of Threshold S/200 class A (up to 30 wpc) amplifiers, also from Woodbridge Audio and circa 1983. This is not their intended location but is my proof of concept before hauling it all to our condo. Currently using a Denon (1996) DVD-5000 as the source. At the condo, I will only use a Sonos connect as the source, streaming Deezer and FLAC from a local laptop. K.I.S..S.

It sounds sublime. I love the sound of class A on these Infinities.
