So it made sense for me to buy used. Like a new car, the biggest depreciation occurs when the car rolls off the lot. For example buying a used 5SE now and selling it in a year or two won't hurt that much financially when you are ready to upgrade. But given the choice, a Ref 6 now would be the bomb. As Dave Wilson once said when asked about the high prices of his speakers (paraphrasing), "...it only hurts for a little while."
I agree. We are learn as we go, I've just started a few months ago and try to buy wisely for a 3-4 year hold for equipment then change out, Right now I'm at 3-4 months so I'm getting there.

Rega 6 with Ania cart to VPI Prime Signature with Grado Statement 3 was my most recent Upgrade. I only used the Rega for less that 3 months so I'm returning it prior to my 90 option is up.. Heck I'm still waiting to pick up the ARC Ref 2SE I just purchased from Buck.I had a Schitt Mani and before it lasted about 2 weeks before I was ready to move on. Great for the money but I'm looking for more everything..
