If you use a PC/MAC, you can use a program such as VNC to ‘see’ and control your desktop with a phone, IPAD etc connected on the same network. That is how I and I assume, most control their SilenZios after the initial setup.
By the way, my music library is also on a Synology NAS and accessed via WIFI by ROON running on my SilenZio. Many swear that Ethernet sounds better but I can’t hear it.
