It was a great race weekend. Weather cooperated except for the very chilly (for Daytona) Sunday morning.

In GTLM, the Porsche team was very strong and led a majority of the race. The winning BMW grew stronger as the race went on and towards the middle to end of each stint. There was a lot of bumper to bumper racing which made it exciting.

As Glenn said, the 4th place finish of the No 3 Corvette C8.R was a fabulous result. While never really challenging the Porsche or BMW overall, they finished on the lead lap. Pretty good race for a brand new race car platform.

The No 4 Corvette suffered an oil leak that required the motor to be removed and a lengthy stint in the garage. They finished about 320 laps down running at a solid pace.

The Corvette team suffered early from poor pit stop performance. They seemed to get their act together latter in the race but it was surprising given the experience of the team.

I can’t wait to go back next year.
