Tom.......I agree, the blacker background definitely allows micro details to be fleshed out of the silence. Like you, I have also noticed a denser, more robust nature to bass reproduction. Just this morning I was listening to Tim Story - Shadowplay, "When All Beyond Was Wild", finding my attention captured by the deep synthesized bass that wrapped around the performance. The P10's clean power is a true asset to the sound system's performance.
