I assume there are very good designs in all of the various flavors out there
. This is just Nelson Pass's take... All I can say is the amplifier I am listening to right now is one of the finest, purist sounding amplifiers I have ever heard. It works beautifully in my system, in my room, for my tastes. After all, that is all that really matters anyway
