Yes I did think it was a bit odd at first. The DSI200 amp display remembers the setting when powered off via the remote.
There is no power button on the remote for the CD8, only a standby button that only turns off the display. It doesn't cut power to the tubes. So I need to power off from the unit itself.

Anyway something has definitely changed in the system. Its starting to sound good now. The soundstage is becoming more stable, starting to get a more layered effect with better separation and micro dynamics coming through.

I'm starting to enjoy listening to it now. I was worried that something was broke.
