Am not really interested enough in a Fire to do any hacking of their OS. I'll just go with a Samsung tablet and my Android phone.
Still trying to find the 'right' DAC. Everything seems to come with bells & whistles, which are of no interest to me. Things like volume controls, headphone amps, etc. Want a small size, balanced, DAC that will do PCM, DSD & MQA. Its starting to look like the Mytek Liberty is as close as anything.

Update: Placed the order for an Intel NUC7i7BNH (tall box), SATA 2.5" 1TB internal HD, 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD system storage, iFi 15V/1.2A wall wart & 8" 32GB Galaxy. The 16GB/256GB set-up was only $19 more than the 8GB/128GB set-up, so figured, 'why not'? Normally don't purchase extended warranties, but for $13 for 4yr ($3.25/yr) the cost was 'in the noise'. At that price, this must be quite reliable gear.
