We love to talk McIntosh, and speaking for myself, I am also very interested in Ayre, Lamm, Esoteric, Acoustic Research, and others, plus the many varied speakers that are embraced by our members.

Tell us about your system. How's the high end audio spirit in the upper northwest?
I have 2 separate sound systems in my entertainment room. The 2 channel system is for me and the 5.1 channel system is for my family. It would be very nice to replace the C45 with the C500 in the future. I just added the Furman power conditioner 2 months ago. I couldn’t hear much difference with the sound, but I can definitely see a picture quality improvement after adding the Furman IT Ref 20I.

2 channel stereo.
1. McIntosh C45, MCD500, 2 MC501.
2. Martin Logan Summit. Rel acoustic Storm III
3. Furman IT Ref 20I
4. Audioquest Caldera speaker cable, Niagara XLR

5.1 system.
1. B&K Ref 30, Ref 7250 II
2. Sony PS3
3. Vienna Acoustic Haydn, Maestro. M&K 125V Sub.
4. Panamax Max 5500
5. Sharp XV-Z3000 projector.
6. Stewart Firehawk 100” screen.
