Today I equalized the Seismic 110 subwoofer to my listening room with the Perfect Bass Kit (PBK-1) 2.01 software and microphone.
What real improvements to the listening room in the bass frequencies and overall system balance and soundstage the PBK-1 creates!
PBK adjusts out both the peaks and valleys in the bass frequency response in the listening room measuring from five or more positions in the room.
It graphs the bass frequency tests results on a Windows computer--XP or Visa OS.
I'm very happy with the real improvements to the sound in the listening room the PBK provides. My system now has improved balance and soundstage, transparency, and sounds cleaner. The bass level control is now more functional because I can turn it up a lot more without creating bloated bass--just get louder, tight bass!
The equalized Seismic 110 provides a seamless integration with the Paradigm S1 v.3 that adds that important foundation for the S1 to build on to create a noticeably more balanced, cleaner and deeper soundstage.
The combination of the Paradigm S1 v.3 and Seismic 110 with PBK sounds like I'm in a recording studio on good recordings, and can create the illusion of a live performance on live recordings!
