Of course the C-3850 + 2x A-250 combo is close to sonic Nirwana but also very expensive. IMHO it is a must for my 800D3.
To spend less money, I'd go for the E-650 and later add an A-48 for the low end to do biamplification.
The E-650 has a fully balanced volume control similar to that of the C-3850 and is Class A.
The E-480 does not have a fully balanced volume control and is not Class A .
If unsure, I'd highly recommend to do a listening comparison E-650 vs E-480, but please be aware that sources and cables might influence the results.
