Ivan,
This comment -- "just released by customs in LAX." -- brought a smile to my face in terms of fond memories. When I was a kid in high school I was fortunate enough to be part of a student intern program wherein I worked for the US Customs Service in a place called "Terminal Island." I worked afternoons during the week -- 1 PM to 5 PM and during school breaks. Terminal Island is a man made island about +/- 20 miles from LAX and we handled all incoming for the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. And we also handled part of LAX's shipments and their seizures.
I say fortunate because I grew up in a place full of negative influences. And there's no doubt in my mind that being able to work for the US Customs Service kept me out of trouble. So, I'm grateful for that. It was a very positive experience for a kid like me.
