It is really hard to understand the sound unless you have heard a Shindo turntable system.
Additionally you can't "build" one unless you have the skills to make a Shindo tonearm, platter, bearing, and cartridge, as well as the plinth.
You can make a nice plinth, and the Garrard 301 restored is a very good sounding turntable.
