I enjoyed watching Tyson in the mid 80's using all the skill's he was taught by his manager/trainer Cus D'Amato and later maintained by Kevin Rooney, Tyson's trainer after D'Amato's death in Nov. 1985. Rooney established a training style that maintained the style that had been previously set by Cus. In late 1988 Tyson parted with manager Bill Cayton and trainer Rooney and aligned himself with Don King. By 1990 Tyson was clearly on a path to failure which ultimately ended his career. I cannot help but wonder where Tyson would have ended up had other choices been made. On that we can only speculate.
