This thing with the XMC-1 has become a joke. This first prototype surfaced over 2 years ago. It was supposed to be shipping a year ago. I had one on order for my Dad and I gave up last month and got him the Marantz 7007. They are indeed having lots of problems - just like they did with their first Pre-pro go around.

This quote is spot on: "It's like a cult, a clan of fanatics, without clues on what's up there on the higher and better echelons of life. They try too much IMO at expanding on what they should stick with in the first place; power amps."
Wow, I had no idea it was so behind. But my step father loves his Emotiva and like any fan of any vendor, I cant really go tell him that the XMC-1 is thus far fiction without offending his sensibilities. I'd like to put him on a better track though.
