Ok, i've had my new BMW for a week now. I compared the same CD in my wife's ML in her lexus to the B and W diamond system in my BMW (that's a tongue twister!).
ML is clearly better. Much quieter system with a lower noise floor, the bass is very articulate and fast. Midrange was crystal clear and spacious. I have the 802D3's as well, and the diamond tweeter in the car audio system is clearly not what it is on the loudspeaker. I'm a little disappointed to be quite honest.
It was a 3500 dollar upgrade to put the B and W into my car, and I certainly regret it. Wish ML would come to B and W. Way better sounding.
