I guess that is correct. However, the Esotec is still a silk dome and a very good one at that. I do think that the implementation is what brings the tweeter to its glory. Apparently, the Esotar would not fit in the dimensions that Franco wanted to use for the GH.
Having heard both the Esotar extensively in other speakers and of course living with the GH daily, I can state that I do NOT think anything was left behind by Franco's decision.
