I’m not familiar with the C500 but there was a very noticeable difference from the C2600 to the MP1100. Swapped out stock tubes for the GL’s and took a bit of break in. In the beginning it seemed to have lost a lot of dynamics, but in about 50 hrs they really came around.
Also you have a lot more gain adjustabilty with the MP1100, 40,46,52,58 & 64.
