The movie in the DX5 is likely providing the multichannel DTS or Dolby digital signal to the QX5 and the QX5 does not decode those signals. The video mode of QX5 just turns off buffering to ensure video and audio syncs
You should be able to change DX5 settings to ensure it plays the 2 channel PCM track and that should work
