I agree that your room will be the greatest limiting factor of any large speaker system. If the offer came from a SF dealer, seems like he/she should have taken into account your room size before suggesting the trade up. In my experience, the listening room is the most important factor to getting great sound quality, and often the most overlooked.

You might step back and list everything you love about your current system, as well as what you want to be different/better. Then start the upgrade path by being very clear about what you are trying to achieve. That way, you will more likely be successful as you make changes. Too often we move sideways, or even backwards, when we don't start out being very clear. I'm speaking from personal experience!

I don't mean to be a wet blanket here...my wife tells me I'm way too analytical. Good luck.
