Actually, that is not correct. base + Ultra SS is pretty close to the same height as Base and spikes. With just Ultra SS, its too short. Remember the Ultra's are around 1.5-.6 in height, the 5's are 2.25.

They sound better as in cleaner with a gap between the surface and the Stillpoint. This is also what Stillpoints recommends. I have been using mine for a couple of years now.

as you know, Wilson speakers can be adjusted for any listener height.

Your bare wood floor will have a different sonic impact on the speakers to my thick carpet on concrete slab.



Don't worry, the Maxx3's have plenty of bass regardless.
