I'm in the middle of making the switch from budget modern tubes (AVA) to budget vintage tube projects: a stripped EICO HF-81 under re-construction, along with a pair of MC30s & a MX-110Z. A pair of Joe Auwen's MC30 chassis are on the way, and turret boards from Watt Tube Audio for the eventual MC30 rebuilds.
I'm leery of messing with the MX-110, and was going to ship it off to Terry, but he just posted a 'Gone Fishin' sign. So, Audio Classics, here I come? Or maybe my fear of the bill will overcome my fear of screwing up the 110.
