The new Mac mini is not that expensive where it would be cost effective to try to upgrade the old one. Even with extra memory and ssd it would not come close to the new and much better performing new mini.
Whether the Roon core actually benefits from massive cpu power and memory above and beyond the “reasonable” is a different question. Still, if you are spending money, it would probably be money better spent for a new machine that will last you another 10 years at least
