That is not true in the top range models. Maybe in the Olympica series and downwords I agree.
It's not easy to reach Franco's level. Though, I think Sf has made some great speakers without Franco. Amati Futura is not easy to beat in it's price range.
Properly set up, I'l Cremonese, Lilium and Aida are also among the best there is. The quality of design are still great. Materials and how the top range models are built are maybe even better now.
That's my opinion.
