My first Accuphase is P11 power amplifier. It was since 1991
These day it drives my Wilson Sophia3. A few days back I got A used but still new ATI 3005
For my home theater. Thinking that a fresher 300W from ATI must drive Sophia3 better.
No. !!
Only the bass that ATI do better, better weight, grip, and power.
But on musicality it cannot come close to 24 years old P11.
ATI sound rather dry and cold from mid to treble. When compared to Accuphase.
Accuphase stands the test of time.
But understandably ATI is not designed to be audiophile 2ch amplifier from the start, it born with different goal.
