Something easy for you to check is tightening down the transformer mounting screws, which are accessible from the bottom of the power supply chassis on your preamp.

It was silent at my shop. It's very robust and well built equipment, but things happen.

Matt, I have no issue with the Mr. Ts. In fact, I'm very pleased about their performance. The improvement was as large as changing my preamp to the Aurieges.
