We spent 3-day in Barcelona at the end of our transatlantic cruise and also had a great time. We had a great meal in the Los Caracoles as this was my first visit to Barcelona in 50yr and that is where I ate in 1968. Squid planca for my wife and chicken in a garlic sauce for me. We ate our way across southern France to Lyon for the next 3wk. Had a great meal in the Place des Celestins with food & wine from the shops at the outdoor Marche St. Antoine (pate, cheese, olives, fruit, veggies, strawberry tarts, etc. - Monoprix saved the day with napkins & condiments). A group of 20-somethings liked what they saw and walked over to the market and were soon joining us for their own, similar lunch. We've definitely fallen love with Lyon.
