Re: the Wavelength DACs, while I haven't heard the top-end Crimson mentioned in that other thread, my first DAC some years ago was his entry-level Brick, which I felt, despite its somewhat noticeable shortcomings in frequency extension, produced better
music than DACs twice the cost. So they are certainly worth a look. I considered his DACs when I upgraded mine last year, but in the end went a different direction with a Lampy DAC (which, in my opinion, is even better
).
