Try XRCD, XRCD2, XRCD24. Also try SACD and other high quality recordings from the likes of Chesky, Naim, Linn, Mapleshade.

All too often we blame the gear but it is the music industry that should be blamed for selling us crap.

The Ayre does sound very organic as it should since that was the design goal of Meridian and Ayre working on the new apodizing filters. It gets you closer to true, natural sound. I think many will eventually follow that same path as it seems to eliminate some of the problems of digital sound.
